#fomo is an urban dance theatre piece about us dealing with virtual worlds.
Technology gets faster and better. The flood of information hitting us everyday increases continuously and infinite possibilities of global networking can be accessed anywhere, anytime.
To our advantage and disadvantage. What drives us to check our smartphones all day? What importance has a virtual profile in reality? Are we just shadows of ourselves?
These questions guide the five performers through #fomo. Within the piece they experience constructive and destructive aspects of virtuality.
On stage they create characters, drama and scenes through the urban dance styles Breaking, Popping, Locking, HipHop-Freestlye and House.
#fomo ist ein urbanes Tanztheater über unseren Umgang mit virtuellen Welten. Die Technologie wird schneller und besser. Die Informationsflut im Alltag erhöht sich kontinuierlich und die unendlichen Möglichkeiten weltweiter Vernetzung lassen sich jederzeit und überall auskosten.
Zu unserem Vor- und Nachteil. Was treibt uns an, permanent unsere Smartphones zu checken? Wie viel Bestand hat ein virtuelles Profil in der Realität? Führen wir ein Schattendasein?
Diese Fragen bewegen die Charaktere in #fomo. Sie durchleben in den Szenen konstruktive und destruktive Aspekte von Virtualität im Internet und in sozialen Netzwerken.
Die fünf Performer erschaffen ihre Bühnenwelt mithilfe der urbanen Tanzstile Breaking, Locking, Popping, House und HipHop-Freestyle.
